I'm sure you've encountered a pushy person at least once in your life. I have. And one time being around them is enough. I have a pushy person that due to circumstances, I cannot get away from. I keep visits to a minimum but even 5 minutes is too much.
These types of people are masters at control and while they might not be aware that they're pushy, they manage to get people who aren't good at pushing back to do their bidding. I am spineless when it comes to pushing back or being confrontational. So when my pushy person starts trying to get me to do what they want, I gnash my teeth and pull my hair and get pissed off, but I don't just tell them "no". I might fight back after I've been pushed around multiple times in a short period of time but usually not. And I HATE that about me! I have found that when you do not allow yourself to be pushed around, the pusher moves along to someone else with the greatest of ease.
Why is is that these kind of people get away with it?!? Do they really know that many spineless people? Apparently they do.
I am really lucky in the sense that soon, I will be rid of the person who has caused me such frustration. I'm going to throw a party. I'm going to dance a jig. I'm going to sing a song about how happy I am that that person is gone, gone, gone and then, I will hope that I never have to see them again. And I will vow that I will never allow myself to be bossed around again. Let's hope I stick to it. Because I hate pushy, bossy, abrasive people.
